Closing the gap starts in the body—your nervous system is the precise point where your Higher Self identity meets your human reality.
For years, I have watched brilliant, conscious leaders and coaches beat themselves up because they feel "stuck." They look at their lives, their businesses, or their spiritual practices and see a wall they can’t seem to scale. They call it a spiritual block. They assume they aren't "aligned" enough, that they lack faith, or that they have some deep-seated karmic debt they haven't yet paid. But more often than not, what they are actually experiencing isn't a lack of spiritual favour, it’s a biological "no."
When I talk about inner mastery, I am referring to trinity of our existence in the correct order: Spirit, Mind, and Body. We are spiritual beings having a human experience, but that human experience is filtered through a very real, very physical nervous system. If your body does not feel safe, it is going to be really hard to manifest your ideal life. This is the difference between 'doing' spirituality and actually embodying it.
The Misunderstood Wall Between You and Your Expansion
I invite you to reconsider what you’ve been labeling as spiritual blockages. We often think of a spiritual block as an external force, an energetic cobweb or a curse from a past life that needs "clearing." While energetic hygiene is important, most "blocks" are actually highly evolved protective mechanisms. They are trauma responses masquerading as spiritual failures.
If you have ever felt a sudden wave of fatigue when you sit down to manifest your next big goal, or if you feel a "tightness" in your chest when you try to step into a higher self identity, that isn't the universe telling you "no." It is your Body communicating its current capacity. In my work, I see this constantly: women who are ready for energetic expansion but whose nervous systems are still wired for survival.
When subconscious mind associates "being seen" or "having more" with a lack of safety (perhaps due to inherited conditioning or deeper wounding) it will use your biology to pull the emergency brake. This isn't a sign that you are broken; it is a sign that your system is working perfectly to keep you safe. The goal of inner mastery isn't to override these responses, but to regulate the system so that safety and expansion can coexist.

When the Body Says No: The Reality of Nervous System Regulation
The Body is the final manifestor. It is where Spirit and Mind meet to create reality. When we talk about nervous system regulation, we are talking about the "Body" aspect of the trinity. Without a regulated nervous system, your attempts at energy alignment will feel like trying to build a skyscraper on a swamp. It might look good for a moment, but the first sign of pressure will cause the whole structure to sink.
A trauma response is often a state of high arousal (fight/flight) or low arousal (freeze/faint). When you are in these states, your "access" to your Higher Self is temporarily restricted. It’s as if the WiFi signal to the divine is still there, but your device has entered "power-save mode" because it’s running out of juice. I call this the 'Spirit Protection Response.
To achieve true spiritual expansion, you must honour the Body’s need for safety. This means moving at the speed of your nervous system, not the speed of your ego’s desires. When you regulate, you increase your capacity to hold higher frequencies of light and success. You move from a state of "trying to get there" to a state of "being." This is the essence of higher self embodiment—bringing that illuminated, high-vibe energy of the Spirit into the very cells of your physical being.
The Mind’s Protective Architecture and Subconscious Conditioning
Once we address the Body, we must look at the Mind: both the conscious and the subconscious. This is where our limiting beliefs and inherited conditioning live. I often find that my clients carry "ghosts" in their machines—beliefs that don't even belong to them. These are the inherited beliefs and programs or past-life echoes that tell us that spiritual power is dangerous or that worthiness is something to be earned.
What if, spiritual blockages are just stories the Mind tells to justify the Body’s fear? If your Mind believes that growth leads to abandonment (one of the four core ego wounds), it will create a "block" to protect you from that perceived loss. You might find yourself procrastinating, self-sabotaging, or suddenly losing interest in a project that was once your passion.
These aren't flaws; they are advanced spiritual gifts in a distorted form. For example, the ability to hyper-focus on others’ needs—often seen as codependency—is actually a highly evolved state of clairsentience that has been used for survival. When we bring these patterns into the light of the Higher Self, we can begin to untangle the energetic expansion from the fear. We realize that our worthiness is innate and unchanging. It isn't something we achieve; it is something we inhabit.

Embodying Your Higher Self Through the Lens of Safety
Embodiment is the process of making the invisible, visible. It is the act of bringing the Spirit through the Mind and into the Body. When you are truly in a state of higher identity, your physical presence feels different. There is a golden warmth to your energy, a softness in your gaze, and a groundedness in your step.
This state is only possible when you stop fighting your trauma responses and start befriending them. Instead of trying to "blast through" a block, try sitting with it. Ask your Body, "What do you need to feel safe enough to expand?" Usually, the answer is simple: more breath, more presence, more honouring of the current moment.
As you practice nervous system regulation, you’ll notice that the "spiritual blocks" begin to dissolve on their own. They don't need to be fought because they no longer have a purpose. You are building the internal infrastructure to handle the "more" that you are calling in. This is the true meaning of inner mastery: the ability to remain centred and connected to Spirit even when the physical world feels chaotic.
Mastering the Art of Energetic Expansion
If you are ready to move beyond the "stuck" cycle and into a life of true alignment, I invite you to join me and the incredible women in my community at BW Global. We are not just talking about these concepts; we are living them. We are doing the deep, transformative work of integrating the Spirit, Mind, and Body so that we can lead from a place of overflow rather than depletion.
True growth isn't about becoming someone else; it’s about returning to who you have always been before the world told you that you weren't enough. It’s about recognizing the Divine Angel Within and allowing that part of you to take the lead. Whether you are interested in the Aligned Coach Academy™ or you want to immerse yourself in one of my upcoming events and retreats, the path is the same—safety leads to expansion.
Remember sweet friend, your journey is unique, and there is no right or wrong way to feel or heal. Every time you choose to regulate your nervous system instead of judging yourself for being "blocked," you are performing an act of profound spiritual devotion. You are telling your Body that it is safe to be home, and you are telling your Spirit that it is finally time to land.
I invite you to let go of the need to be "fixed" and instead embrace the process of being found. You are already worthy. You are already whole. The expansion you seek is not on the other side of a wall—it is already vibrating within you, waiting for the safety of your own embrace.
